Catching Up Part III: Easter Follow-Up

As promised, here are more Easter photos. I was going to add them to the last post, but I found that it wouldn't allow me to. I did love the kid's outfits for this Easter, they looked absolutely adorable, though I may be bias.

Posing in their matching outfits, adorable!!

The Easter Bunny brought Bubbie Monster Trucks, his favorite!

And for Boo, My Little Pony! She loves MLPs!!

Below are the photos from our Easter Egg Hunt of which the kids absolutely loved. Bubbie was so helpful in making sure that Boo had her share of the eggs in her basket. He is so kind and good at sharing, most of the time.

And after the Easter Egg Hunt, it was time for Deviled eggs! Yummy!!

Catching Up Part II: Boo's Second Birthday

It's amazing how quickly the last two years have passed and even more amazing is that I'm now a Mom of two toddlers and still have my sanity in tact! Though some days may seem questionable like the days when I put the milk in the cabinet and the cereal in the fridge. I do have many a morning like that! As much as I would like to present an image of pure perfection, life is not without it's moments that make us real. Perhaps like my very embarrassing moment at Heartsprings this last week, oh that was a rough one. Now that I'm off topic, I'll bring it back to what this post is about, Boo's 2nd Birthday.

We had Boo's party at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. I have to say that this is probably one of the better Birthday Parties that we've done! Despite it's setbacks as I mentioned in a post before, it really was a great party. I think the best part was the doughnut cake!! It was delicioso!!

Boo especially loved the balloons. I think five or six of them were popped that day and each time, everyone in the store jumped. I'm sure Krispy Kremes was ready for us to leave when we finally did, hehehehe.

Boo sitting with one of my long time best friend's step child. R is such a cute kid and he amazes me with how well spoken he is and he isn't even three yet!! He and Boo became best buds at the birthday party.

Bubbie with his favorite person. Even more of a favorite over Mommy, but Grandmas usually are! They spoil you!!

Watching the doughnuts go by. Yum, yum!

Boo with her current favorite person, unless we are grocery shopping. Then it becomes Mommy because I don't make her sit in the cart.

Warning: Image may make you want to lick your screen. Or so I've been told anyway!

Doughnut decorating was the big hit of this party, other than the doughnut cake. The kids loved making a mess with the gooey chocolate and sprinkles!!

Time to blow out the candle!! Boo still needed a little help with that, but she kinda tried. Not really.

I think this picture pretty much sums up the deliciousness of the doughnuts, LOL!

When it came time to open gifts, I would say Boo was into it for about one minute and then when she was done, she was done.

This is Boo when she is done.

I really have to thank everyone that came out to help us to celebrate Boo, for her special day! You all really made the party fun and enjoyable!! Here is to another year that has come and gone and many more to come!

Catching Up Part I: Easter

Keep watching this post because I will still be adding photos to it as they become available.

Easter began like any other, the night before we dyed our eggs!! This was some messy fun for the kids that resulted in Boo knocking over one of the cups containing dye. Did you know that this stuff will dye furniture too?! Well it does and my table was blue for a week! I finally managed to get it out with vinegar and baking soda, but it was a process. Thankfully since the table could be salvaged, it remained a fun experience for the kids and I. This was their first time dying eggs and they did a great job for the first time. I am thankful though that I thought to remove their clothes before we started, could you imagine the damage if we hadn't? Next year we will have to invest in some smocks and some plastic to cover the table.

Bubbie and Boo enjoyed how the dye also colored their hands!!

Looks good enough to drink huh? Well at least Bubbie and Boo thought so, we had to keep telling them that it wasn't for drinking. Considering it was vinegar in those cups, yuck!!

This photo is actually when we started, the kids were a little unsure at first. Once I showed them how to dip the eggs, they were all over it!!

These are a couple of videos from Easter morning. Unfortunately our camera kept running out of memory, so the videos are short. One of our videos was accidentally deleted and we have been unable to recover it, but mostly it is still a great memory!

We also have photos of the kids in their adorable outfits and the egg hunt from Easter day that I hope to be able to add soon! As I mentioned before, we spent Easter at home and my Parents came to visit. The kids always enjoy visits from Grandma and Grandpa! It was especially fun because we went to OJ Watson Park, it was packed on Easter with everyone having BBQs and get togethers. Parking was a mess!! The kids enjoyed playing on the playground though and for the first time ever, Boo went down a huge slide with no help!! She loved it and it was funny watching her dress catch the breeze and blow into her face! Her and Bubbie kept taking turns going down the slide. At one point Boo didn't land well and fell on the ground and Bubbie went over and helped her up. He is such a good big brother!

After the park, we came home and the kids played in the backyard with Grandma and Grandpa while Daddy and I snuck outside to hide the eggs. When the kids found all of the eggs, we came in and made deviled eggs. Bubbie and Boo loved the deviled eggs so much, I think they nearly ate the whole plate. I would say that Easter was a fun day and even more fun that we got to enjoy it at home.

Catching Up To Do!

Well thank you to my Dad, I now have a laptop in my possession!! Now I can join the blogging community again, stay tuned I have lots of photos to share!

First I'm going to start with a couple of photos from sometime in March, enjoy!!

Bubbie and Boo took a liking to their hats, even after Winter weather had passed.

This is entirely too cute!! We had fun playing with Boo's megablocks and worried about the mess later.

Much more to come, but I wouldn't want to overwhelm anyone. LOL!!

Sorry It's Been So Long!

I'm so sorry it has been so long since I last blogged. Unfortunately my laptop was knocked off of our TV stand some time ago by Boo and now it is no longer working. Due to my broken down laptop, I am unable to blog as I did before. We do have my Husband's computer, but it is often not working more than it is working because my Husband is often doing modifications to it, kind of like a mechanic and their cars, LOL! Anyway, I hope to get a laptop soon, but it may be a while. Sorry if you follow the blog and I will try to update ASAP! For now, I do not have availability to photos, so I'll just take a minute to type what we've been up to.

Well, I think we left off somewhere around Easter. I have a lot of great photos from Easter, they are on my Facebook, you can go there if you want to check them out! If you don't know my FB, e-mail me and I will try my best to get you a link(for friends and family only please). My Parents came to visit for Easter and we had a blast just hanging around the house, letting kids check out their goodies from the Easter Bunny and from Grandma and Grandpa. We also did a little egg hunt in the front and side yard of the house, since the kids were hanging in the backyard with G and G. They loved hunting for eggs!!

Most recently, Boo turned TWO yesterday! I can't hardly believe it!! Time sure does fly when you spend your days taking care of two toddlers. This last Saturday we did a party for Boo at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Saturday started out a rough day! I was so excited for Boo's birthday party and then I woke up with a migraine that very morning, ugh! I felt absolutely horrible, but I had to suck it up because it was Boo's day. Then we arrived at Krispy Kreme and they didn't have Boo's party on the schedule until the next week!! Needless to say, I was very upset and almost cried. Thankfully with my saying as few words as I could, they pulled it together in about 20 minutes and the guests were none the wiser. Her party turned out GREAT!! She had a doughnut cake and each kid was able to dip and decorate their own doughnuts! Overall I think everyone had a blast and Boo was exhausted by all the excitement and fun. Pictures from that are also on my FB, though I'm still waiting for some more from my FIL! He is the family photographer.

Also, Bubbie is attending Speech Therapy 4 times a week now. He goes to our local Elementary School on Mondays and Fridays for a 20 minute session and to Heartsprings on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a 25 minute session. Bubbie loves both of his Speech Therapists and he is excelling so well with his speech. Both of his Teachers are impressed!! I too am impressed with how he is talking now and he is getting very expressive in his tone when talking and asking questions. Before long, I think he will be talking better than most kids his age if he keeps progressing so well and I'm sure he will. Bubbie is a very clever boy!

That is all for now and hopefully I can upload some photos soon. Until then, ta ta for now!!

Our New Baby, It's a Girl!!

Pookie Pie is our new 8 wk old Min Pin puppy. Isn't she adorable!!

We weren't actually looking for a puppy, but since the loss of Jack it has seemed a little empty around here. I will blog about Jack later, for the time being I can't do it yet, emotionally. Some friends of our had a litter of Min Pins and we fell in love with Pookie. We weren't sure what to name her, so for a couple of days she was unnamed. I had been calling her Pookie, not really sure why, but it seems the kids like it and so became her name. I think they mostly like the name because its so easy for them to say.

Welcome Pookie Pie to the family!

Morning Sunrise Smoothie

We try to fit in 7 fruits and veggies a day and this is a simple way of getting a serving! The bonus is that the kids love it so much!! When I make it, they say the names of the fruit and OJ that I put in. They also jump up and down and say, "fruit smoothie"!! This has been a big part of my weight loss plan and getting the family to eat healthier.

Makes 3 servings. Looks good enough to sip, huh?

Kid tested and kid approved(or should I say LOVED)!!
